Update
It's official: Jeremy Jacquet has signed for Liverpool from Rennes. The defender's move has been confirmed by both clubs, with personal terms and registration finalised. He will now link up with his new teammates ahead of the upcoming fixtures, having completed a medical and agreed on contract terms. With the registration processed and contract signed, the club have moved quickly to integrate him into their plans for the remainder of the season. Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Man Utd had previously shown interest for the player. Across the season 25/26, Liverpool have let in 33 goals in 24 (1.38 per game), roughly in line with the Premier League average. Jeremy Jacquet would be expected to give them some extra stability and depth for the tougher stretches of the season. Rennes continue to be linked with Arnaud Nordin, Prosper Peter and Yassir Zabiri while Liverpool are also rumoured to be tracking Jules Kounde, Robin Roefs and Lutsharel Geertruida.
