The deal to bring Julian Alvarez to Barcelona has broken down - according to sources close to the clubs. The Atletico forward had featured prominently in the club's plans, but sources are now speculating that no agreement was reached and both sides are expected to move on quickly to new targets. Whether talks will resume further down the line remains to be seen. This move is off for now, though speculation continues around Julian Alvarez, who has also been linked with Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid. At 4.67 goals scored per game this season, Barcelona already pose a big threat. Julian Alvarez would be expected to maintain that level and give them another reliable option in attack. Alongside this, Atletico are said to be exploring Ibrahim Maza and Jonathan David with Barcelona likewise connected to JJ Gabriel, Estevao and Federico Dimarco. Want to see how the story develops?
