Update
Multiple reports have confirmed that Rennes have made their first official bid for Prosper Peter by submitting a formal offer. The Angers forward has long been admired by the interested team, who see him as the perfect addition to their squad ahead of the run-in. Whether the current offer will be enough to tempt Angers to part with a prized asset remains to be seen. Talks remain ongoing, though with no rival clubs reported in the mix, Rennes are progressing without added pressure. So far this season, Rennes are averaging 1.5 goals scored per game (30 goals /20 games), close to the Ligue 1 average. Prosper Peter would be expected to help them push higher and add more variety in attack. Angers have also been linked with Goduine Koyalipou and Branco Van den Boomen while Rennes are reportedly monitoring Yassir Zabiri, Nampalys Mendy and Sebastian Szymanski.
