After weeks of interest, multiple sources have confirmed that Aston Villa have tabled a formal bid for Santiago Beltran. The River Plate goalkeeper has been attracting interest from across the league in recent weeks, with an opening offer marking a clear intent to get the deal done before the market intensifies. But it remains to be seen whether this opening bid will be enough to tempt a move away. Manchester United may look to intervene if talks continue without resolution. Across the season 26/27, Aston Villa have let in 13 goals in 9 (1.44 per game), roughly in line with the Premier League average. Santiago Beltran would be expected to give them some extra stability and depth for the tougher stretches of the season. Speculation continues to connect Aston Villa with Gavi, Oguz Aydin and Alejandro Garnacho while no fresh rumours surround River Plate.
