Update
Florentino Luis has officially completed a move from Sl Benfica to Burnley. The midfielder joins after weeks of speculation, with the transfer now confirmed by all parties. The club have made the announcement following final approval and registration, with the player set to be unveiled imminently. After interest from Roma, Everton and Marseille, it was Burnley who persisted and completed the process. All formal steps are now done, and the player will begin work with his new club immediately. In season 25/26, Burnley are conceding 2.14 goals per game (15 in 7 games), which points to a lack of control in midfield. Florentino Luis would be expected to calm things down and protect the back line better. Alongside this, Sl Benfica are said to be exploring Carlos Alvarez, Mohamed El Amine Amoura and Antony Santos with Burnley likewise connected to Nick Pope, Stefan Ortega and Idrissa Gueye.
