Tottenham have reportedly added Agustin Giay to their shortlist of transfer targets. The Palmeiras defender is rumoured to be attracting attention ahead of the next transfer window, with insiders claiming preliminary talks could soon take place. Tottenham remain optimistic, but the deal is not without hurdles. Napoli, Milan and Atletico continue to monitor developments and could yet re-enter the race if negotiations stall or valuation gaps remain unresolved. Tottenham's back line has been a real strength this season, conceding just 1.11 goals per game (10 in 9). Agustin Giay would be expected to slot into that unit and hold his own in an already solid setup. Speculation continues to connect Tottenham with Gustavo Varela, Orri Oskarsson and Alex Freeman while no fresh rumours surround Palmeiras. Stay tuned for more details as the story develops.
