Update
After being on the brink of joining AL Qadisiyah, Marc Guiu will remain at Chelsea - at least for now. According to sources close to the deal, talks over a potential transfer have collapsed, with negotiations hitting a wall late in the process. The forward had been seen as a priority signing for the interested team but it looks like they will have to look elsewhere or return with an improved offer. Talks broke down before a deal could be reached with AL Qadisiyah, leaving the door open for clubs like Real Betis, Sunderland and Chelsea to step in. AL Qadisiyah have been strong going forward this season, with 55 goals scored in 24 games (2.29 per game). Marc Guiu would give them depth and keep that attacking firepower going all season. Chelsea have recently been linked with Dean Henderson, Maxime Esteve and Honest Ahanor while AL Qadisiyah have had no rumoured targets. More on this story as it develops.
