According to various outlets, Manchester United are seriously considering a move for Villarreal defender, Alex Freeman. While nothing concrete has emerged yet, the player's name has reportedly featured in internal discussions about possible reinforcements ahead of the run-in. Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham remain in the background, but for now, Manchester United are leading the way in ongoing talks. Across the season 26/27, Manchester United have let in 10 goals in 7 (1.43 per game), roughly in line with the Premier League average. Alex Freeman would be expected to give them some extra stability and depth for the tougher stretches of the season. Manchester United have recently been linked with Carlos Borges, Alberto Costa and Lennart Karl while Villarreal have had no rumoured targets. Need more Manchester United transfer rumours?
